Welcome to one of my all time favourite patterns. It’s completely free and comes with a full video tutorial guiding you every stitch of the way.
The Colourful Carnaby Blanket was my first foray into the world of C2C (that’s corner to corner for those new to the term…don’t worry I had to look it up when I first heard it!) Normally C2C is worked in rows diagonally - hence ‘corner to corner’, however I wanted to take it one step further and to play with working it in the round to see what the effect would be and I was delighted with the results!
You can really go to town with the colours making this a great stash-buster project. This sample is worked using Paintbox Yarns Simply Chunky on a 6mm hook which means it grew really fast (hurrah) but you could work it in any dk yarn on a smaller hook and the effect will be just as stunning. There’s a full video tutorial on how to work this pattern available thanks to the lovely people at LoveCrafts who invited me down to their London HQ for a day of filming. Hopefully this will be all you need to get you playing with C2C in the round but if you have any questions do please feel welcome to message me.
